This blog is here for one reason - to provide you with the latest updates about the show. There won't be many postings - just occassional messages if a slow is delayed. You may be wondering what is happening to the site...basically we are going for a revamp.

Instead of focusing on Mac, we've changed our focus. There are 1001 Mac and Apple podcasts and we can't really offer anything unique in this field. Therefore, this is what we have come up with. The new Northern Bytes will be focused around

• Creativity Software - such as iLife
• Produtivity Software - such as iWork
• Free Open Source Software - such as OpenOffice.org

Since both the presenters use Macs, this is going to have a recurring theme but we are not tied to Mac. Topics will cover Windows and Linux from time to time but we are aiming to be platform independant. The new website is now launched at northernbytes.org as well as Planet Bytes - a blog aggregation in the style of PlanetPlanet. Chances are - this is how you are reading this blog.

So, have fun and the relaunched Northern Bytes will come soon. Good things come to those who wait!
